it's cold outside
[ Well, it's very rare that they both happen to be on Dragonspine, but, sometimes there are things that need investigating, and Albedo is off on the completely wrong side of the mountain. And given the Fatui presence, well. It seemed only fair to give Diluc the barest of pretexts to join him. "Pretexts."
Whatever it is, while Kaeya's not bothered by the cold in many ways, it's still... very cold. still, pulling out all the supplies for staying overnight... he idly wonders how used to Dragonspine nights Diluc actually is.
Well, he'll find out soon enough. ]

Then again--he hadn't thought that Kaeya would be here, either. He doesn't offer much of an explanation, when they end up crashing into each other, and Kaeya doesn't, either. They both seem content to leave the other in the dark, as well as the cold.
Frowning, he shakes his head--idly, he runs the tip of his greatsword against the bundle of logs that make up their campfire, fire running along the metal until it sparks to life among the brush. Satisfied, he lets the sword disappear out of his grip. ]
Better keep control of yourself. You'll freeze us during the night otherwise.
[ Stubborn, he folds down into a seat on one of the rocks surrounding the fire: and glances up, curious, at the supplies Kaeya has already set about getting ready. A lump settles in his throat; he forces his gaze back to the snowy ground and the edge of the fire. ]
