[ Fai could sense the disruption in energy, and in the hopes that it would be his companions that he seems to have landed in this world without, he followed it to its source… only to find a man already investigating it. He frowns, hanging back for a few moments to see if anything comes of his investigation.

Sensing an opportunity to make himself known, he waves from behind a large rock, a falsely pleasant grin on his face. ]

Right here seems like a good spot, don’t you agree?

[ cautious, and yet, with an air as though he isn't, ]

This must be a new form of nefarious.

[ He doesn't look like he's from Mondstadt. Sneznhaya? But he doesn't look like a merchant or the Fatui... ]

Though, I can confidently say that you're a new face.

[ He laughs, standing up straight before immediately leaning against the rock, casual as can be. ]

Really? You’ve met everyone here?

Speaking of which, welcome to Mondstadt. What is your purpose here?

Hopefully it's not actually nefarious, or our chat won't be that pleasant.

[ He laughs yet again, waving off that little threat, serious or not.

Although… with the way this man was investigating this area, it’s probably a serious one. ]

Here? I’m looking at this little disturbance. That’s all.

[ it's hard to tell whether he's serious. he's as good at the fake smile as Fai is, after all ]

[ He tilts his head, trying to analyze that smile. Hm. ]

I thought there was free reign to explore here. Is there not?

[ In other words… Kaeya is not going to get a real answer from him. ]

Hmmm, I would agree. Normally, at least.

It's just quite the coincidence. Leyline disorders can be quite serious! Usually, they attract monsters at the very least.

But other times they're much more frightening.

[ and so, he starts to walk, tracing a trail around Fai ]

And it would be a great failure on my part if anyone was hurt.

Good thing I’m well, isn’t it?

[ He smiles easily, his postures relaxed even as he makes note of Kaeya beginning to circle him. ]

What else can they do, other than attract monsters?
